Nope, you don't sleep well in a car that isn't made for sleeping in. We woke up very early, but by unspoken agreement we ended up sleeping in until 9.30ish. Nothing to do about it - after a few days of very little sleep, and sleeping badly we were simply too tired to be of any use.

We had to get up way too early today, and we may or may not have stayed up a bit too late last night. I think we got around 2½ hours of sleep! Luckily, the trip to the airport was pretty simple. We got on the train at Bondi Junction, and changed at the central station. It sucked a bit to be carrying all our stuff again though.

Today started out with some lovely breakfast made by Danielle, and a really nice morning training session with Dave, Danielle and a few others. It was mainly a sparring session, and we started standing for each round, which was great as it is something I need to get better at.

For us, the answer was: go to a BJJ competition. Why? Because our friends from Melbourne - Lachlan and Livia were both competing. Livia with a fracture in her hand (!), which puts all the injuries that has ever kept me off the mat to shame. Aside from Livia and Lachlan, we got to see a lot of other known faces. Jess from Melbourne, Matt from Adelaide, and many others.

When we woke up this morning, the noisy sound of waves crashing onto the beach was still with us. As it was pitch dark last night when we got to the parking lot, we were both pretty curious to see how the beach looked.

Today was quite a long stretch of driving. We started out in Eden this morning, and ended up north of Wollongong - in Stanwell Park Beach Reserve - by the time we stopped for dinner. That works out to about 430 km, or 5½ hours of driving, and took us through the 5000 km barrier.
